Handling systems

THE FUNCTIONALITY of clamping machines, regardless of size and power, is defined by the auxiliary systems available. Vogel focuses on special systems to mount moulds to clamping machines. The hollow cores and rods for the insulator manufacturing requests require these special systems to place the components inside the mould.

Mould Crane

For easy handling of the moulds during change of insulator production, Vogel has developed a two-crane system that is easy to handle.

Tube Crane

During the manufacturing of hollow core insulators, long and heavy FRP tubes have to be mounted into the two mould halves to assure a high-quality product. For this purpose a special tube crane can be applied to the clamping machine, even for the longest insulators.

De-moulding Device Hollow Core & Long Rod

The productivity during manufacturing is a key factor for the process. To ensure easy and careful product handling during the de-moulding process of the insulators, Vogel has invented a specific solution for hollow core and long rod insulators that takes the specific design of flanges and fittings into account, always designed to meet the specific requirements of the customer.

Continuous Moulding

For the production of large hollow core insulators for high voltages ith a small number of needed parts, Vogel has developed a continuous moulding system. This system minimizes the investment in clamping machine and mould.
